The England international is yet to feature for the
new Reds boss and is doubtful for their Premier League fixture over the
weekend
Sturridge returned from injury at the end of September to score twice in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa but a knock in training ruled him out Klopp's first fixture in a 0-0 draw with Tottenham.
The 26-year-old was not named in the squad as the Reds stumbled to a 1-1 draw with 10-man Rubin Kazan in the Europa League on Thursday and, with a scan pending, has not improved ahead of Sunday's clash.
"I spoke a few minutes ago with Sturridge and it's not much better," the Liverpool manager told reporters on Friday.
"With Daniel's injury we have to see day by day. If he can train normally tomorrow, it is an option.
"He will have more treatment today because there is still some fluid on his knee. He will have another scan."
